Responsibilities of Retail Sales Representative:

• Approach and assist customers without delay: Immediately acknowledge customers and offer assistance promptly, efficiently managing interactions with multiple customers.
• Develop strong communication skills: Focus on enhancing your communication abilities to effectively interact with customers and colleagues. Clear and concise communication can help in understanding customer needs and providing appropriate assistance.
• Announce store promotions and events: Inform customers about ongoing store events, promotions, and exclusive offerings to elevate their shopping delight and attract more sales.
• Handling customer feedback: Respond to customer concerns by utilizing your product expertise to suggest alternative options, with the aim of converting returns into exchanges if possible.
• Timely reporting to management on merchandise restocking, service needs, and customer feedback is crucial.
• Aid in reaching team and corporate goals by working together with colleagues to advance overall store and company accomplishments.

Qualification of Retail Sales Representative:

• At least 16 years old
• Prepared to work on a varied and adjustable timetable
• Adept at utilizing or ready to learn about technology, like cash registers and mobile devices
• Possesses the skill to effectively connect and communicate with customers
• Experienced in handling customer interactions and potential problems with a professional and gracious approach
• Use essential techniques for information-gathering to overcome obstacles
• The aptitude to learn procedural knowledge by participating in on-the-job training is key to developing expertise

Essential Job Functions of Retail Sales Representative:

• Consistently operate the cash register for customer purchases
• Often manipulate goods weighing up to 25 lbs and position or remove items at heights ranging from 5-10 feet
• Regularly moving up and down ladders for stock retrieval and storage purposes
• Repeatedly adjust body stance to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, whether in the stock room or assisting on the sales floor
• Regularly communicate and exchange information with customers both over the phone and in-person at the store, as well as with colleagues and supervisors. Precisely conveying information is vital in these communication instances
• Consistently patrol the sales floor to offer assistance to customers and transfer products to and from the stockroom for organization
• Applicants should be prepared to work at various times to accommodate the business's operational needs, including daytime, evening, weekend shifts, and the potential for overnight work and travel as deemed necessary
• It is important to be able to recognize and comprehend email and print instructions related to merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• The requirement involves being in a motionless and vertical position for the majority, specifically 80% of the time
