Responsibilities of Retail Floor Associate:

• Provide prompt greetings and assistance to customers: Immediately acknowledge customers and assist them in a timely manner while efficiently handling multiple customer interactions.
• Interact respectfully with customers: Treat all customers with kindness and respect regardless of their background or attitude. Use polite language and body language to create a welcoming environment and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Spread the word about store events and deals: Update customers on the latest store events, promotions, and unique experiences to elevate their shopping satisfaction and increase sales.
• Customer issue resolution: Deal with customer concerns effectively by utilizing your product knowledge to present alternative resolutions, with the aim of converting returns into exchanges if viable.
• Ensure that management is consistently informed about restocking items, servicing demands, and customer input in a timely fashion.
• Promote teamwork and company targets by working together with the team to enhance the overall store and organizational accomplishments.

Qualification of Retail Floor Associate:

• At least 16 years old
• Capable of adjusting availability as needed for work
• Proficient or eager to familiarize oneself with technology, such as cash registers and mobile devices
• Possesses strong communication skills to actively involve customers
• Skilled in dealing with customer queries and possible challenges with courtesy and professionalism
• Apply basic methods of collecting data to address challenges effectively
• The capacity to gain procedural knowledge by engaging in practical on-the-job training is valuable for skill development

Essential Job Functions of Retail Floor Associate:

• Consistently handle transactions at the cash register
• Often handle goods that weigh up to 25 lbs and position or take them off shelves at elevations between 5 and 10 feet
• Often ascending and descending vertical ladders to manage stock movements
• Often change body posture to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, whether in the stock room or engaging with customers in the sales area
• It is essential to engage in consistent communication and information-sharing with customers through phone conversations and in-store interactions, along with supervisors and team members. The ability to relay accurate information is necessary in these scenarios
• Engage in frequent movement throughout the sales floor to aid patrons and transport goods to and from the stockroom for stocking and organizing
• Being available to work at varying times throughout the week is necessary to align with the business's demands, potentially involving day, evening, weekend hours, as well as the possibility of overnight shifts and travel if the situation demands
• Having the ability to distinguish and comprehend written guidelines in both digital and physical formats relating to the arrangement of goods, employee shifts, and standard methods of operation is essential
• The ability to stay still and upright for the majority of an allotted period is essential
