Responsibilities of Retail Assistant:
- Quickly greet and aid customers: Approach customers promptly with a welcoming attitude, offering assistance and managing multiple customer requests proficiently.
- Understanding and fulfilling customer requirements involve evaluating their needs through product education, responding to inquiries, guiding them towards items, and providing suggestions. Participate in upselling techniques while staying updated on stock availability.
- Advertise store promotions and events: Notify customers about current store events, deals, and special engagements to enrich their shopping experience and encourage purchases.
- Resolving customer inquiries: Attend to customer issues by applying your product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, with the objective of converting returns into exchanges when appropriate.
- Keep management in the loop about restocking products, service demands, and customer reviews promptly.
- Contribute to the accomplishment of team and corporate goals through effective collaboration to advance store and company objectives.
Qualifications of Retail Assistant :
- To participate, one must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Being at least 16 years old is a requirement for involvement. The minimum age requirement to join is 16 years old. Participation is only open to individuals who are 16 years old or older. The entry age must be no less than 16 years old. To be eligible, individuals must have reached the age of 16. The program is designed for those who are 16 years old and above. Membership is restricted to those who are at least 16 years old. To be considered, individuals must be at least 16 years old
- Ready to work on a schedule that can be adapted to various demands
- Skilled in or motivated to understand technology, such as cash registers and hand-held devices
- Exhibits a talent for engaging with a variety of customers
- Capable of addressing customer interactions and potential issues with professionalism and courtesy
- Apply foundational methods for collecting data to solve problems efficiently
- Obtaining procedural knowledge through experiential learning in a work setting is important for skill enhancement
Essential Job functionsof Retail Assistant:
- Regularly conduct transactions using the cash register
- Regularly handle merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove goods at heights up to 5-10 feet
- Repeatedly ascending and descending vertical structures to handle stock movements
- Frequently change body position to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, whether in the stockroom or on the sales floor assisting customers
- Consistently interact and exchange information with customers through phone calls and in-person meetings at the store, as well as with managers and coworkers. It is important to provide accurate information during these exchanges
- Consistently traverse the sales floor to support customers and move items to and from the stockroom for storage and display
- Flexibility in working hours is essential to accommodate the operational requirements of the organization, encompassing daytime, evening, weekend shifts, and potential overnight stays and journeys as necessary
- Being capable of identifying and understanding written directives through email and hard copies regarding the layout of merchandise, schedules for associates, and established procedures is crucial
- The necessity is to uphold a stationary and upright posture for at least 80% of the total time
