Responsibilities of Sales Floor Associate:

• Promptly acknowledge and support customers: Greet customers swiftly and provide assistance promptly while efficiently managing interactions with multiple customers.
• Handle customer complaints effectively: Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, striving to resolve any issues in a satisfactory manner. Listen actively to their feedback and work towards finding a mutually beneficial solution.
• Inform customers about store promotions and activities: Educate shoppers on the store's current events, promotions, and distinctive initiatives to elevate their shopping enjoyment and drive transactions.
• Customer concern resolution: Handle customer problems by using your product expertise to provide alternative remedies, focusing on converting returns into exchanges whenever suitable.
• Timely communication with management regarding restocking merchandise, service needs, and customer feedback is imperative.
• Work collectively with the team to attain company and store goals, thereby cultivating a constructive and efficient work setting.

Qualification of Sales Floor Associate:

• At least 16 years old
• Willing to adjust working hours to meet the needs of the job
• Competent or receptive to mastering technology, including cash registers and mobile devices
• Adept at building rapport and maintaining customer interest
• Competent in handling customer interactions and potential concerns with grace and professionalism
• Utilize rudimentary skills in information gathering to troubleshoot issues
• The ability to acquire procedural knowledge through practical on-the-job training plays a significant role in developing new competencies

Essential Job Functions of Sales Floor Associate:

• Frequently use the cash register for transactions
• Regularly shift items weighing as much as 25 pounds and position or remove merchandise at heights reaching 5-10 feet
• Frequently using ladders to reach and organize stored goods
• Regularly shift body positioning to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, while completing tasks in both the stockroom and on the sales floor
• Frequently communicate and share information with customers via telephone and face-to-face interactions at the store, as well as with managers and coworkers. Ensuring the accuracy of information exchanged in these instances is crucial
• Regularly travel around the sales area to assist shoppers and transfer merchandise to and from the stockroom for storage
• The position mandates a willingness to adjust schedules as needed by the company, entailing daytime, evening, and weekend commitments alongside potential overnight stays and travel if the situation deems it necessary
• One must have the skill to distinguish and interpret instructions provided via email and printed documents concerning the layout of products, employee schedules, and standard operational guidelines
• One must have the capacity to be static and erect for a minimum of 80% of the specified timeframe
